Publishing activities

The Institute publishes a quarterly "Wieś i Rolnictwo" (Village and Agriculture). The 100-th issue of this journal was published in 1998. The journal contains articles on agricultural economics and rural policy, rural sociology, rural culture, demography and the sociology of education. It devotes a separate section to integration with the European Union. Every year, the Institute publish one volume of quarterly in English language.
In the ranking done by the National Scientific Research Committee the quarterly has been awarded the highest category A.
The work of the Institute is also published in a book series entitled "Problemy Rozwoju Wsi i Rolnictwa" ("Problems in Rural and Agricultural Development"). Successive volumes in this series summarise the theoretical, empirical and methodological projects completed at the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development, Polish Academy of Sciences.
