This year for the 5th time Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development  co-organized the economic modelling courses offered by the Centre of Policy Studies (CoPS), Victoria University (Australia).

 

The following courses was held in central Warsaw (Poland), in the Staszic Palace, Hall of Mirrors.

 

 

TERM CGE Modelling Course - a regional CGE course based on the TERM model

was held from 5 to 10 September 2016

 

TERM (The Enormous Regional Model) is a multiregional CGE model of a single country, which is "bottom-up", each region is treated as a separate economy. Two key features of TERM are: (a) its ability to solve quickly with a large number of regions or sectors, and (b) its database construction methodology, which allows a multiregional database to be constructed quickly, even with quite limited regional data.

Two-day Advanced GEMPACK Course

was held from 12 to 13 September 2016

 

This course will present several practical exercises aimed at the experienced user, with a focus on topics that go beyond running simulations and analysis of results.
